Just got the World of Warcraft Burning crusade expansion pack. All I can say is WOW!
I have always loved the WoW. The beautiful rendered landscapes, engaging gameplay and not to mention the sheer size of the game. I know people that have been playing for years and still haven't completely exhausted the games potential. One of the great reasons to play WoW is the social interaction involved. The game is created in way which encourages people to interact with each other as much as possible. In fact it is arguable that players who group together (Guilds) pass through the levels quicker. What's It all about When starting Wow the first decision you have to make is whether you want to be a goodie or a baddy. The Good and bad groups are represented by 2 factions. The Alliance (The Good) and The Horde (Bad). Don’t be too put off by choosing the dark side, this is not a poor version of the game compared to the good. The thing is allot of the Horde Races like the new Blood Elves in the Burning Crusade aren’t really bad just sort of fallen angles. It is worth baring in mind though that the Horde and Alliance cannot talk to each other, so if you have friends that play you might want to be on the same side that they are so that you can play together. Another thing worth thinking about is the server you'll be playing on. Wow will by default assign you to which ever has the most space. The server is basically the database which all your characters info and history is stored on, again if your friend is not on that server you simply wont be able to play with them. Characters can be changed from servers but it costs an additional fee and can take a few days. If your new to Wow you get to pick your race, their are 8 races in on both sides of the factions. |
